Successful Completion of HMIS Augmentation for Ministry of Health

Vayam Technologies Ltd. has successfully completed Augmentation of Health Management Information System (HMIS) for Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, India.

Vayamtech had won this one-of-its-kind project in February 2012. The project was delivered in two phases; HMIS, Shared Portal & SAS of Phase-I in March 2014 and GIS components of Phase-II in December 2015. Vayamtech will now provide Support on HMIS for 4 years to ensure bug free system with enhancements and Zero down time of application.

The government of India launched the National Rural Health Mission (NHRM) programme with an aim of achieving the targets set by Millennium Development Goals (MDG) and making the Health Delivery System more responsive to the Health care needs of the people of India.

To monitor the NRHM program, MoHFW has in place an elaborate Monitoring and Evaluation system, namely the 'Health Management Information System (HMIS)' to monitor and evaluate the impact of its health programmes and provide key inputs to policy formulation and interventions. NRHM Health Statistics Information Portal is basically a website providing gateway to a wealth of information regarding the Health Indicators of India. The information available on this website is being compiled from varied information sources such as National Family Health Survey (NFHS), District Level Household Survey (DLHS), Census, SRS and performance statistics.

Through periodic updating of the health related data, the application developed by Vayamtech is helping policy makers and planners in better decision making.

Congratulations to the team who have put in their best efforts for the successful completion of this project!
